Youyang Two-Day Trip: The Perfect Destination for Chinese New Year Celebrations

There are two Peach Blossom Lands in the world, one lies in Youyang, and the other resides in your heart. This Chinese New Year, let us step into Youyang together to experience that pure and beautiful essence. 🌸

Day One: Youzhou Ancient Town

Departing from Chongqing, after approximately a 5-hour drive, we arrive at Youzhou Ancient Town. It is adjacent to the Peach Blossom Land, reachable by a mere walk! 😍 After resting, we can stroll through the ancient town, sampling local delicacies and immersing ourselves in its unique cultural atmosphere. As night falls, the ancient town transforms into a breathtakingly beautiful sight with lights glittering and a splendid glow, as if entering a dreamy world. πŸŒƒ Listening to songs and chants, one wonders where the beauty has gone – it’s an unforgettable experience. 🎢

Day Two: Peach Blossom Land and Gongtan Ancient Town

Early in the morning, we set out from the south gate of Youzhou Ancient Town and head straight to the Peach Blossom Land Scenic Area, which is only about 100 meters away. Stepping into the Peach Blossom Land feels like entering the world described in “The Peach Blossom Spring,” where one follows the stream, losing track of distance. Suddenly, we encounter a peach orchard stretching hundreds of steps along the bank, with no other trees, fragrant grass, and petals scattered all around. πŸ˜„ In the afternoon, our journey leads us to the final stop – Gongtan Ancient Town. This place has not been overdeveloped or commercialized excessively, preserving its original charm to a great extent. 🏘️ Strolling through the alleys of the ancient town and listening to the leisurely chatter of the local Tujia people is truly delightful. The ancient town is close to the Wu River, whose crystal-clear waters seem transparent enough to see the riverbed – such clarity is rare. The famous painter Wu Guanzhong once praised it highly, saying, “This place resembles the streets of Tang Dynasty and the cities of Song Dynasty; it’s like grandma and grandpa’s home.” πŸŒ‰

After concluding our visit to Gongtan Ancient Town, our trip to Youyang comes to a perfect end, leaving behind nothing but unforgettable joy and cherished memories. πŸŽ‰
