Spring Festival Guide to Qingdao Polar Ocean World

Hello everyone, with the Spring Festival approaching, I’d like to recommend a festive destination for fun – Qingdao Polar Ocean World. It’s the Qingdao version of Chimelong, offering a variety of interactive experiences with marine life, performances, and a strong festive atmosphere. Here is your detailed guide to enjoying Qingdao Polar Ocean World.

Transportation: There is a car park available, and you can also take Metro Line 2 to Haiyou Road Station.

Opening hours:
Closed on February 9th;
From February 10th to February 17th, open from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM;
Starting from February 18th, open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

Park Guide:
Arrive at 8:30 AM to enter the park as the first batch of visitors, heading straight to the Antarctic Stone, polar bears, belugas, South American sea lions, and walruses. The beluga whale pavilion offers great photo opportunities, so take advantage of the quiet time to capture beautiful interactive shots.

At 9:00 AM, take the elevator to the second floor’s hidden entrance to the Polar Space & Petting Park, where you can interact with dancing arctic foxes, Call ducks, and white peacocks.

Return to the beluga whale pavilion on the first floor at 10:00 AM to watch “The Love of Beluga Whales.”

By 10:15 AM, head to the second floor to see penguins and spotted seals.

Watch the Viking Stage’s Science Magic Show at 10:30 AM.

At 10:45 AM, follow the route to enjoy the Spring Festival lanterns and visit the first-floor migration pool, a perfect spot for photos.

Stay at the migration pool for the “Deep Sea Mermaid Show” at 11:00 AM.

Check out the underwater tunnel, sea turtles, and sharks by 11:15 AM.

Don’t miss the “Battle of the Whales and Dolphins” show at 11:30 AM.

At 12:00 PM, watch “Magical Ocean” in the 360° dome cinema.

Tips for Visiting:
